MISSION AND ACTIVITIES OF THE COLLIE CLUB OF AUSTIN

The objectives of the Club shall be: (a) to encourage and promote the breeding of purebred Collies and to do all possible to bring their best and natural qualities to perfection; (b) to urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence which the Collie shall be judged; (c) to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at AKC Collie Specialty Shows, AKC All-Breed Shows, AKC Obedience Trials, AKC Agility Trials, and AKC Herding Trials, and AKC approved matches and education events; (d) to conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty shows, obedience and agility trials and any other American Kennel Club performance events for which the Club is eligible for under the rules of the American Kennel Club, and to do all things necessary to promote and improve the breed;
